Students were able to interview and work with Bradford Jackson, an actor and film-maker from Alaska, who has also worked in Hollywood.
Details
In collaboration with LYNX Education, Bradford spent three days working with staff and students to document many of the integrated art projects happening in Hoonah City Schools. He also spoke with students about the film industry, the art of film making, and about his non-profit effort Film Rant, which is dedicated to raising the quality of film making in Alaska. He extended a personal invitation for students to consider learning more and participating now or in the future.
Bradford also helped to instruct students on how to use some of the professional tools that are used in documentary and narrative filmmaking and included students in documenting different aspects of the art integration projects happening around the school.
