Summary

Staff created Headbands styled after the Tlingit tradition. Headbands are often worn during ku.éex’s or potlatches as a name tag that shows cultural heritage.

Details

Staff were taught about the cultural significance of the headband. It represents your family and where you come from the crests on the headbands are owned by the family and are respected and valued as that. They are like a name badge so that others will recognize you by your family. Check with a clan elder if you are unsure about using a certain crest design.
